Selfish and Loving it

It really IS all about you...
... and they're not necessarily gonna like it!

Are you one of the people who show signs of mild panic at the thought of being called ''Self-ish''? I often hear the words ''They're NOT going to like this!'' from Mindjogis. And of course ''they'' refers to just about everyone in their immediate environment! Husbands, parents, kids, employers, employees…

As you practice, Mindjoga naturally changes the way you relate to people and situations.
Once your negative limiting beliefs disappear you are left with enormous self-love, confidence and quite honestly… an ''I'm taking no sh*t attitude!''. One can only imagine how both those big and little pharaohs formerly used to our servitude will view this change!

So how do we handle this change?

If you've ever been on an aeroplane you'll remember that part of the safety demonstration is to put your own oxygen mask on first. It's the same with anything in life. Unless you feel well, you cannot help others to the extent to which they may need it.

You are utterly entitled to be self-ish and one of the first hurdles we must conquer in changing our lives is the guilt surrounding selfishness. To be selfish literally translates as ''to be you''; 'self-ish'. We'd be right to say that blueish is kind of blue. And peckish is kind of hungry. So it stands to reason that selfish is kind of self. Kind of ''you''.

''When your little inner voice is giving you guilt; remember the following three things'':

Firstly. The biggest gift we can give to those we love is self-responsibility. When a person has this. They have it all. So practice telling them how amazing this skill is for them and make yourself aware of the things they do which shout self-responsbility and over-do the compliments. They will begin to feel good about it... honest!

Secondly. A wonderful man called Tim Ferriss once told me this: When something is important; DO NOT ASK FOR PERMISSION or you will never move forward! Be prepared to do what your heart says and ASK FOR FORGIVENESS afterwards. Those who truly love you will understand. Remember; as a Mindjogi you have become a curved ball; a sower of change seeds … often perceived as coming out of nowhere and shaking up their game. Things are changing for them too. And we already know how people just LOVE change (not)!

Thirdly: Think of yourself as a seed sower (this will also begin to come naturally). It is impossible to change anyone by making them feel bad. Do what you need to do but be kind. Remember it's our actions not just our words that sow the seeds of change.

''And last but not least; this is a biggie... remember to keep using your EQUILIBRIUM 4-step Process whenever guilt arises''
